Everyone has their own idea about what makes the best beach in Florida. Is it the softness of the sand? Or is it a fabulous sunset? In this article, I will share my favorite beaches in Florida and what makes them the BEST

1. Siesta Key Beach

Siesta Key Beach has the perfect combination of soft white sand and amazing sunsets. You can even join a drum circle at sunset.

2. Sanibel Island Beach

Sanibel Island Beach is by far the best beach for collecting seashells. It’s soft sand and beautiful views make it perfect for a walk on the beach.

3. Key West Beach

A favorite of Key West locals is Key West’s South Beach. Nice sandy beach with shallow waters and a concrete pier. No restrooms or facilities. Located at the end of Duval Street on the Atlantic Ocean. If you’re looking for a wonderful place to stay in the Keys, I recommend you check out HomeAway 

4. South Beach Miami Florida

South Beach is where you go for excitement in Florida. Here you will see everything from people roller blading in thong bikinis to senior citizens playing chess.

Set on the backdrop of Miami’s hottest club area South beach is where you could easily spot some celebrities out having fun.

5. Destin Beach

There’s something magical about the emerald green water at Destin Beach. Dolphins frolic with paddle boarders and everyone seems in a relaxed friendly mood at Destin Beach.

6. Cocoa Beach Florida

Cocoa Beach Florida is where you go for surfing and paddle boarding. There are places to rent a board if you did not bring your own or if you’d like to take lessons. You can go to RonJon Surf Shop or Cocoa Beach Surf Company

7. Ft Lauderdale Beach

Ft. Lauderdale Beach has been impressively remodeled over the years. Making it a clean and well manicured beach. It features a backdrop of lovely shops and restaurants plus facilities to wash up.

8. St. Pete Beach

St. Pete Beach and Naples beach both have amazing sunsets. St Pete beach has a more laid back vibe with hotels and pubs lining the shore.

Barefoot Beach Preserve is the perfect beach choice for those wanting to enjoy a more natural beach environment surrounded by wildlife and greenery. Ideal for families, the beach offers safe swimming and is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. Fishing enthusiasts love this beach park as they can catch many different species of fish in the tidal creeks and mangroves or right off the beach.
