With Disney being well over 30,000 acres, you could imagine how difficult it must be for a first timer to figure out exactly what they want to do. While there are thousands of attractions at Disney, there are always the iconic attractions which must be visited. Let’s take a look at the must-see Disney attractions:
We have all seen it on the movies and of course, it gives you the same chills and tummy butterflies in real life. Home of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where little girls get whisked away to become the princesses they were meant to be, Cinderella’s castle is the most prominent feature in the Magic Kingdom. Once you enter the gates and arrive on Main Street, you can’t miss the majestic castle in all of its glory. Be sure to stay until evening as the castle magically changes colors.
Mickey’s PhilharMagic Orchestra
It might be a crazy name, but it is an even crazier experience. Located in Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s PhilharMagic Orchestra is a wild ride where you never leave the ground. Put on your magic eyeglasses and have a seat; then prepare yourself for the 4D experience of a lifetime. That’s right, not only is it 3D video action, but you get added dimensions with touch and smell. I won’t ruin the surprise for you, but you can bet your apple pie that you won’t be disappointed.
Epcot Golf Ball
The iconic dome of Disney World awaits you at Epcot. Ever wonder what exactly is inside of that giant golf ball looking thing? Well, if you haven’t already visited Epcot, you will just have to wait and find out. Towering above the landscape, the futuristic silver ball will continue to call out to you until you can’t stay away any longer. This is one icon that is as recognizable as Cinderella’s castle.
Animal Kingdom – Kilimanjaro Safaris
Where else on Earth could you sit down in a tram and observe the animals of Africa in comfort? Kilimanjaro is one of the premier attractions at Disney World and with hundreds of exotic animals, it is no wonder this experience is like no other. This particular attraction is very popular with young and old alike. Visiting with Grandma and Grandpa? Don’t miss this attraction.
Divided into three sections and always changing to provide the most exhilarating experience, there is always something to do in the Mecca of Downtown Disney. On the West Side, you get entertainment, such as a 24-screen AMC theater as well as the current Cirque du Soleil show. If you are all fun-ed out, the Marketplace is a great way to take a break from the theme parks. If you are searching for collectibles, this is the place for you. Pleasure Island is the party center of Downtown Disney; with everything from Harley-Davidson to exciting dance clubs, this is the place for active young adults.
Obviously, no matter where you go in Disney World, you are bound to have a blast. But, there are a few hot spots you really should take time to check out. If this is your first visit to Disney, the iconic sights and sounds will be thrilling. When you go back to Disney, you’ll visit more places, but the icons will always be calling your name!
